Merry Christmas Kate

We four opened presents after waking up (the last was up about 715). It was just us till after breakfast, then Grandpa Joe came over for a bit, went home for nap time, and came back for supper. It made a nice quiet - pj wearing - day.




Kate got a dolly set from Grandpa - a newborn baby, a stroller, rocker and feeding chair. She held her from the moment she opened it until supper!












After Kate got the dolly, Grandpa kept asking to hold the doll. Kate would only agree if she was there too - such a protective mommy!

Merry Christmas Eve

We decided to spend this christmas, and probably our last, here in Norman Wells. As a general rule we hate travelling this time of year, and with all the crazy weather, we're so glad we did!

Derek is showing his favourite decoration. It is a ceramic pick up truck with a christmas tree - Auntie Jen made it for him a few years ago.

Every Christmas Eve Santa delivers presents to any family who sign up for a visit. Kate has been talking about seeing Santa since her last Santa melt-down, at the Legion. When he arrived she tried desperately to get close to him, but her own fears kept her away. She managed to get this close, but was shaking the whole time.
